On Symbols of Hakka Root Culture and Public Exchange across the Straits

从文化符号学角度,分析客家"根文化"符号形式。客家"根文化"符号在海峡两岸基层客家民众交流中发挥交流沟通、文化认同、活动媒介、凝聚情感等功能。这有利于增强两岸客家人的文化自信心和自豪感,更好地进行客家文化的传承、保护和利用,并促进中华民族的共同复兴与和平发展。

This paper tries to analyze the symbol forms of the Hakka root culture in a perspective of cultural semiotics. The symbols of the Hakka root culture have played important roles in public exchange, cultural identity, media of activities and emotional connection across the Taiwan Straits, which are significant in strengthening the public cultural self-confidence and sense of pride across the Straits in better inheriting, preserving and developing the Hakka Culture so as to promote the mutual revival and peaceful development of the Chinese nation.
