从经济开垦到台湾抗日——以新竹“金广福”姜家事迹为例

From Economic Cultivation to Anti-Japanese War in Taiwan——a Case of the Jiangs in Hsinchu

"金广福"是清代台湾新竹县一家著名"开垦公司"(垦号),系由官方出面倡导新竹当地闽、客两籍汉人合创,在当时闽、客关系不和谐年代,这间垦号别具历史意义。"金广福"第一代"董事长"(垦户首、头家)姜秀銮属军功型武绅并从事经济开垦,但姜家历代逐渐转型,到第五代"董事长"姜绍祖时已颇具文绅之色。姜绍祖在台湾"1895乙未抗日战争"时即本着传统儒教"忠国卫土"精神积极抗日壮烈牺牲,亦符合客家人忠义护乡精神。

Jinguangfu used to be a famous cultivation company in Hsinchu County, Taiwan in the Qing Dynasty jointly run by the local south Fujian and the Hakka people. At that time, the relations between the local south Fujian and the Hakka were not harmonious so that the company was of special historical significance. The first chairman Jiang Xiuluan was a military man and he did do any cultivation work. However, the fifth chairman was a much educated gentleman. Jiang Shaozu, who held firmly the traditional spirit of loyalty to the country and defending the hometown, died during the Sino-Japanese War in Taiwan in 1895.
