文章集中探讨档案文献的三个主题:鉴定、整理和著录、电子档案。通过这三个主题介绍了北美地区档案学经典文献的选择利用情况,同时提出档案工作者应增强专业自信,热爱本职工作,积极主动地发挥档案记录历史的作用。

This paper focuses on three major topics in archival literature： appraisal, arrangement and description, and electronic records. It have introduced the history and situation of the use of the archival literature in the United States and Canada.Meanwhile, the author appeal to all the archives staff that archivists should strengthen professional confidence, loves his own work, actively play the role of history record.
