中、西医学由于思维方式的差异,对人体生理、病理认识及疾病的诊治各具特点,西医诊治着眼于解决疾病的基本矛盾,中医辨证论治着眼解决疾病的具体矛盾;西医强调前景的针对性拮抗治疗,中医强调背景的整体调理。两者之间形成了鲜明的互补关系,如果能取长补短,促进二者有机融合,则有助于临床疗效的显著提升。

Western and Chinese medicine have their own unique characteristics in the physiology and pathology of the human body as well as disease diagnosis and treatment due to their different ways of thinking; the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in Western medicine concentrates on the basic contradictions, while syndrome differentiation of Chinese medicine on the specific contradictions; the former emphasizes the prospects of antagonistic treatment, while Chinese medicine values the background of overall adjustment. They have formed a distinct and complementary relationship and might help to significantly improve the clinical efficacy if learn from each other by their organic integration.
