城镇人口是反映城镇化进度的关键指标,其统计的准确性关系到对城镇化进程的判断。城镇人口统计方法是基于市和镇的行政区划和统计上划分城乡的标准。但由于二者经常发生变化,故不同阶段的城镇人口统计方法不尽相同。因此,需要对城镇人口统计方法变迁进行回顾,并重点考察市镇行政区划调整和城乡划分标准变更在其中的影响。结果表明,对市镇行政区划动态化调整并优化城乡划分标准,将有助于得到更真实、可靠的数据,从而为政策制定提供更坚实的数据基础。

Urban population is the key indicator to mirror urbanization progress. Its accuracy determines whther we canjudge urbanization process scientifically. Urban population statistics method is based on the adjustment of regionalism andstandard of urban-rural classification. Due to frequent adjustment, the urban population statistical method is not the same.This article reviewed the transition of urban population statistics method, focusing on the adjustment of regionalism andurban-rural classification standard. The results proved that, to obtain more reliable data, the dynamic adjustment ofregionalism and the optimizing of urban-rural classification is imperative.
