Adjust to the “New Normal”and Seize New Opportunities to Serve Local Coal Mines and Enhance University with Characteristics:Practice and Exploration of Henan Polytechnic University(HPU)

在经济社会发展新常态下,煤炭类行业特色高校作为我国高等教育体系的重要组成部分,必须主动融入新常态,精准对接行业和地方经济社会转型升级,深化教育教学综合改革,始终坚持以科学发展为主题,以转变发展方式为主线,以内涵建设为基础,以提高质量为根本,以特色发展为路径,以结构优化为手段,不断提升人才培养质量、科学研究水平、社会服务能力和文化传承创新能力,为行业和地方经济社会发展做出新的贡献。

In the situation of New Normal economic development, the specialized higher educa- tion institutions in coal mine industry, a vital component of China＇ s higher education system, must take the initiative to adjust to the New Normal, keep up with transformation and upgra- ding of specific industries, local economy and society, and deepen the comprehensive reform of education and teaching. In order to contribute to the development of coal mining industry and local economy, the university must adhere to the subject of scientific development; take the transformation of development mode as the cardinal line; and, identify connotation construction as its basis. It should also put the quality improvement as a foundation; follow the route of fea- ture development by the means of structure optimization, so as to improve the quality of talent training, scientific research level, social service ability, and the ability of cultural inheritance and innovation.
