博物馆公示语具有信息传递的功能,为参观者提供必要的背景知识。以河南省信阳博物馆公示语的英文翻译为例,从关联理论的视角,分析了公示语英译存在的问题,延伸出相关的翻译方法和策略。
Public signs in museums have the function of transferring information and giving necessary instruc- tions to visitors. From the perspective of Relevance Theory, the thesis probes into the problems in translating public signs by analyzing the data collected from Xinyang Museum and explores the guidance of the theory on public signs translation strategies and methods.
