Domesticating and Foreignizing Translation on Color Terms from the Perspective of Cross-culture Communication

颜色是人们认知周围世界的一个重要领域,而不同的文化影响着人们对颜色词的认知。分析影响文化形成的几个因素有助于我们了解颜色词在不同文化中的文化内涵,提高对不同文化中颜色词的理解,从而促进跨文化交际。本文通过对影响文化的几个因素进行分析,剖析不同文化对颜色认知的差异,基于跨文化交际背景下,结合归化异化翻译理论来探讨在颜色词的翻译过程中如何"变色"。

Color is one of the most important fields for us to understand the world surrounding us, and different cultures have an impact on our understanding about color terms. The analysis on the factors which are related to the culture can contribute to not only our understanding about the cultural connotations of color terms in different cul- tures, but also cross -cultural communication. This article, based on cross -culture communication, aims to probe into the ways of discoloration of color terms under the domesticating and foreignizing translation theory.
