摘要
张茂宣为唐朝第一代义武军节度使张孝忠的第八子。张茂宣墓志对于唐代奚与契丹的早期史事及墓主家族的族属等问题都有重要的印证和补正作用,对于搞清契丹乙失活部的历史与源流具有重要价值。
Zhang Maoxuan(张茂宣) was the eighth son of Zhang Xiaozhong(张孝忠) who was the first military governor of Yiwu Army(义武军) in the Tang Dynasty.The epitaph of Zhang Maoxuan is of great significance and value for the study of the early history of Khitan(契丹) and Xi(奚)during the Tang Dynasty,the ethnicity and history of Zhang's family,as well as the history and origin of the Yishihuo tribe(乙失活部).
