摘要
以盖伦·斯特劳森为代表的一些哲学家对休谟的因果理论提出了一种怀疑主义实在论的解读,形成了所谓"新休谟争论"。本文通过梳理和评估新休谟争论,对因果的本体论以及模态论方面的问题进行思考和研究,最终提出并辩护一种因果的怀疑主义规则性理论。
In the traditional studies of the history of philosophy,the dominant interpretation of Hume's theory of causation is a reductionistic regulatory theory.In the past twenty to thirty years,a group of philosophers led by Galen Strawson challenged the traditional regularity interpretation.According to their new interpretation,Hume's causal theory is a sceptical realism.The debate caused by their new interpretation is called 'the new Hume debate'.The aim of this paper is to investigate the ontological and modal problems concerning causation by analyzing and evaluating the new Hume debate.In the end it proposes and defends a sceptical regulatory theory of causation.
