The Contribution of The Collected Explanations of Jinsilu( Reflections on Things of Hand)

《近思录集说》为清末民国间台州黄岩人管赞程著。《集说》一书内容首引《近思录》原文,次引古今人关于《近思录》的论述,再次是管赞程对《近思录》的解说。与其他《近思录》集注本比较,本着"切问近思"的编纂宗旨,在继承以往集解传统的基础上,方法与解读内容方面都有改进与创新。这种改进创新更贴近《近思录》原旨,是其存在的价值,包括:切近读者的解读方式,揭示《近思录》的艰难曲折,近思与现实社会生活相联系等,可谓得《近思录》奥旨之真诠。

The Collected Explanations of Jinsilu（ Reflections on Things of Hand）was written by Guan Zan-cheng,who was from Huangyan（ a town in Taizhou area）in the late Qing Dynasty and Min’guo period. The book cites not only original texts from Jinsilu,but also comments on Jinsilu after the book was published,and the author’s own interpretation was also included. Compared with other variorums,this one,holding firm to the tenet of“inquiring with earnestness and reflecting with self-practice”and following traditional ways of col-lecting annotations and commentaries,improved and innovated both in methods and content. The improve-ments and innovations,including its reader-friendly way of interpretation,the author’s persistent efforts in in-terpreting Jinsilu,and its reflection being closely related to the reality,justify the value of this variorum and make it one of those which stick to the real essence of Jinsilu.
