Tradition Continuation and Modern Transformation:A Survey on Sherpa's Marriage in Zhangmu

樟木夏尔巴人的通婚对象从本族群内部扩大至族群外部的藏族甚至汉族,与尼泊尔夏尔巴人的跨境通婚现象亦在逐步增加,在沿袭传统婚俗的同时,也逐渐改变着自身的观念和行为,反映出夏尔巴人对族群文化的认同性沿袭以及对社会经济发展的适应性调整。

At present, Sherpa's marriage expanded from endogamy to exogamy, and they married with theTibetan and the Han, and cross-border intermarriage with Nepalese Sherpa also gradually increased. Sherpa fol-low the traditional marriage customs and also gradually change their attitudes and behavior. Persistence andchange, is the reflection of the Sherpa's identity for their ethnic cultural and the Sherpa's adaptive adjustmentfor social and economic development.
