Essentials of Interpersonal Mapping Mechanism

本文旨在通过隐喻的映射机制考察话语交际的认知构建方式。研究发现,言语交际经历了一个隐喻化的过程。作为交际主体的话语生成者(P)和接受者(R)能够形成P IS R这一元隐喻交际构式,引发了R→P的人际映射,并在交际客体和交际资源的协调下进行运作,产生不同的映射类型。研究表明,人际映射机制在言语交际的产生和推进过程中发挥了重要作用。

The present research attempts to explore the cognitive construction of verbal communication on the basis of metaphorical mapping. It is found that communication involves a process of metaphorization. As the subjects in communication, utterance producer （P） and receiver （R） can constitute a metaphorical configuration in communication, namely, P IS R, which results in interpersonal mapping （IM） in the form of R→P which works in coordination with the objects and sources in communication. The process indicates that all types of IM mechanism take an important effect on the production and progression of verbal communication.
