西药本土化研究:能否以中药性味归经理论研究西药?

Chinese indigenous research on western drugs: is it possible to apply the nature and flavor theory of Chinese medicine to western pharmaceutical research?

中医药理论体系是一个开放的体系。不断吸收外来药物并以中药理论进行研究以充实和丰富己身内容成为传统,也是中医药保持生命力的重要环节。基于此提出"西药本土化研究"的概念,即以中药性味归经理论对西药进行研究。研究结果期待在提高用药针对性和有效性的前提下最大限度减轻西药特别是抗肿瘤药物带来的毒副作用,这样,就有可能为患者提供较好的个体化治疗方案。

The theory of Chinese medicine is an open theory system. It has a tradition of absorbing foreign drugs to enrich itself under the guide of the theory of Chinese medicine, which is very important for its survival and progress. Based on this, we raised a concept of ＂indigenous research on western drugs＂, that is to say, applying the nature and flavor theory of Chinese medicine to the research on western drugs. The research is expected to alleviate side effects or toxicity to large extent, specially caused by antineoplastic drugs, with the premise of improving drug efficacy. The research makes it possible to provide a better individualized treatment for the patients.
