As an important part of tunnel construction, waterproofing plays vital roles in safe operation of tunnels and in prolonging the tunnels＇ service lives. The article gives a general introduction on the leaking causes of shield tunnels, main waterproofing technologies and grouting materials. It also expounds and analyzes several kinds of grouting waterproofing and reinforcement technologies through some practical examples.
