Reexamination on the Reason of Eunuchs’ Worship of Buddhism in Tang Dynasty

唐代佛教对宦官的影响十分明显。究其奉佛的思想根源，主要有佛教经典中所宣扬的帮助其恢复丈夫相的灵验故事对宦官的吸引，整个唐代社会浓厚的奉佛环境的熏陶，皇帝崇佛等政治因素对宦官的影响几个方面。另外，唐代军人多有奉佛心理，这也对担任军职的宦官的礼佛行为产生了一定的影响。

The influence of Buddhism to eunuchs in Tang dynasty is very obvious. To investigate the ideological root of eunuchs＇ worship of Buddhism, there were several aspects： some stories included in the Buddhist classic works were attractive to them, which was about to help restore their husband bodies; the influence of the thick atmosphere of Buddhism in Tang dynasty; political factors＇ influence such as the emperor＂ worship of Buddhism. In addition, many soldiers in the Tang dynasty believed in Buddhism, which is of great influence to the eunuchs who had positions in military.
