谈遣伯盨铭文中的“匄祈”

A New Understanding of‘Gai Qi '(匄祈) in the Inscriptions of Qianbo Xu Vessel

遣伯盨有"用■眉寿"一句,不易解释。"■"字本文认为应释为"■",在铭文中读为"祈"。此字写法亦为楚简"忻"字两种异体提供证据。对于"■"字,学者对此有不同意见,本文试在诸说基础上,重新考察其读法,将其读为"匄"。"■■"为同义连用,相当于金文习见的"祈匄"。

This paper tries to offer new understanding on one sentence in the in scriptions of Qianbo xu vessel that is particularly hard to explain. The character can be explained as ＇qi ＇, and means ＇ to pray for something＇. As to another character in the inscriptions, scholars have different transcriptions in previous literature. Based on a synthesis of all these i- deas, this paper suggests （礻萬） should be explained as ＇gai ＇, or to pray for something. In other words, these two words are syn- onymous and equal to the term ＇qi gai ＇ that is common in bronze inscriptions.
