Design of Twelve-way Radial Waveguide Power Combiner in Q-band

摘要 基于径向波导的功率合成器因高效的功率合成效率而受到越来越多的关注。利用HFSS软件对Q波段的径向功率合成/分配器进行了仿真,仿真结果表明:该结构在43-46GHz的频宽范围内的回波损耗小于-20dB,插入损耗小于0.1dB。根据仿真结构,加工并制作了该款径向功率合成/分配器。测试结果表明该合成/分配器插入损耗小于1.2dB,合成效率在75%以上,误差主要来源于加工误差,可以通过提高加工精度、增强表面光洁度来优化测试结果。 Increasing attention have been paid to radial power combiner recently because of its high efficiency of power combining. An Q-band twelve-way spatial power combiner based on the radial waveguide is designed and simulated through the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). The simulating results indicate that the input and output reflection losses are better than -20 dB, the insertion loss is less than 0.1 dB, and the passive synthetic efficiency is more than 76% within the bandwidth of 43GHz to 46GHz. The tolerance mainly comes from machining process errors. The result can be optimized by improving machining accuracy and surface smoothness.
