Cultural Shaping of Global-local Cognitive Approaches:Theory,Mechanism and Inspiration

摘要跨文化研究发现东西方文化群体在注意、归因、分类和推理上存在认知方式的差异：提倡辩证思维、强调内部成员合作的东亚团体更倾向于从整体角度加工信息；提倡分析思维、强调个体利益为主的西方群体更倾向于从局部角度加工信息。为了解释上述认知方式差异，出现了各种不同的理论。认知神经科学也研究了文化影响整体一局部认知方式的机制。文化影响整体一局部认知方式的研究成果对我国的民族心理学研究具有重要启示。 The findings of cross-culture studies show that Eastern and Western cultural groups have different cognitive approaches in attention, attribution, classification and inference. The Eastern Asian groups who advocate dialectical thinking and emphasize internal member cooperation tend to process information from an overall perspective, while the Western groups who advocate analytical thinking and emphasize individual interest tend to process information from a local perspective. Various theories came into being to explain the cognitive differences. Cognitive neuroscience studies the mechanism of culture influence on global-local cognitive approaches and its research results can provide important inspirations for the study of ethnic psychology in China.
