摘要
今天是一个信息化、网络化的时代,通过Internet可以获取全面的文字、图像、声音等信息,但是,图像信息需要占据大量的存储空间,给原始数字图像带来了存储、处理、传输等问题,由于图像数据本身存在冗余性和相关性,利用图像压缩技术可以很好地缩小图像信息的数据量。为此选取了基于DCT变换的图像压缩编码算法进行研究,并通过MATLAB进行试验仿真。
Today is an era of information and network. We can obtain a variety of text, images, sound and other information by Internet. However, the image information needs to occupy a large amount of storage space, which brings about such problems as the storage, processing, transmission and other issues. Because of the redundancy and relativity of image data, the image compression technology can be used to reduce the data quality of the image. The image compression coding algorithm based on DCT transform is studied, and the experiment is carried out on MATLAB software platform.
