FH in Germany focuses on training practical talents. With a complete education system and well development, FH has played a key role in the field of engineering in Germany. The paper attempts to explain the differences between FH and normal universities, and introduce the practical features and school-running ideas so as to enlighten the construction of application-oriented universities in China.
