徐迟对于江南小城镇的文学书写,是从爱情诗开始的。江南小城镇意象与恋女叠印在一起,显得美丽又可爱。江南古镇有保守的一面,失恋的诗人走向都市,成为都市诗人,于是古镇既是守旧的"他者"又是怀恋的精神家园。抗战时期,徐迟对于沉陷了的故乡的抒写,有乡愁,又有失去家园的切肤之痛,更有对于坚毅抗战者的赞美。新中国成立后,徐迟又抒写了游子眼中熟稔、亲切又富于诗意的江南市镇。

Xu Chi＇s literary career for the Jiangnan small towns started from his love poems.The small town image and Lear blended together,which is both beautiful and lovely.The Jiangnan ancient town had its conservative side,so the lovelorn poet left for the city and become an urban poet.Therefore,the ancient city is both his conservative＂other＂and nostalgia spiritual home.During the period of the war of resistance against Japan,Xu Chi wrote about his subsided hometown,and in his works,there is nostalgia and the pain of losing their homes,but more praise for resolute resistance against invaders.After the founding of New China,Xu Chi again began to write about the cordial,poetic and familiar Jiangnan town with his wandering eyes as a roamer.
