An Analysis of the Means and Measures in Preventing the Folk Religious Tendency in the Qing Dynasty

清政府为了有效预防民间宗教的发展,常重视教化手段的运用,通过官府宣讲圣谕、发布告示、学者著书立学、家(宗)族发布禁示等方式和途径,构建起了多方位、多渠道的,系统的预防民间宗教的教化系统。

In order to effectively prevent the development of the folk religion,the Qing government often resorted to the use of means of indoctrination,through preaching sacred edict by the government,releasing notices,publishing scholars＇ books,releasing prohibition notice by family（cases）group and other ways and means,which built up the multi-directional,multi-channel civilizing system to prevent the folk religion.
