Semantic Variations of Re-organized Linguistic Symbols in Translation:from a Cognitive-function Perspective

基于认知-功能视角,探讨语言再符号化过程中产生的跨域语义变异现象。语义变异常通过语言内容或形式调整、语言世界图景修正、关联性世界图景整合和修辞功能考量等途径来实现,语用因素是跨域语义变异的根本原因。

This paper explores semantic variations of re-structured linguistic symbols in translation from a cognitive-functional perspective. A large number of examples prove that semantic variations can be achieved by the adaption of content or structure, by the adjustment or integration of different world images, and by the evaluation of rhetorical methods between different languages. It is shown that pragmatic function is one of the fundamental reasons for semantic variations in the trans-surface process from one language to another.
