As a prominent novelist in contemporary China, a lot of Wang Anyi＇s works have been translated and introduced to the West. By researching the relevant reviews and comments appeared in English and French journals or newspapers, this paper tries to offer a critical view of Wang Anyi＇ s works, and analyzes the reasons why her works appeal to the Western readers.
