On the Potential Similarties between Western Surrealism and Chinese Zen Aesthetics

超现实主义是西方历史上的一次重要文艺思潮,它的唯心之美以超凡夸张的艺术形成表现影响了整个文学、艺术领域。而中国禅宗美学思想,源自于印度佛教,是一个"无空间、无时间"的"我心即我佛"的宗教,这与超现实主义可说是不谋而合的。可以通过"唯心性"和"超时空"来探询超现实主义和禅宗美学思想存在的共性。

Surrealism is an important literary thought in western history,whose idealistic beauty with extraordinary artistic form influenced the literature and art field. Chinese Zen Aesthetics, originally from Indian Buddhism, is a religion with the sense of ＂no space, no time Buddha is in my heart＂, which happens to coincide with the surrealism.This paper mainly discusses the similarities between Western Surrealism and Chinese Zen Aesthetics with the view of ＂mentalism＂ and ＂beyond time and space＂.
