摘要 In the third year of the reign of Emperor Xuande, Ming Dynasty, the Emperor ordered the Casting & Smelting Bureau of the Department of Manufacture to make Ding and Yi ceremonial vessels, to be used in the ancestral temples and the Emperor's Palace. A total of 3765 utensils were made using the lost wax casting process by the Casting & Smelting Bureau. The utensils are collectively known as the Xuande burners or Xuan burners.
