On the multiple competence structure of foreign language majors in China

摘要 国内外形势变化对我国外语专业本科生应该具备的能力结构提出了新的要求,由此本文对我国外语专业本科生应该具备的能力结构进行了探讨。首先,文章回顾分析了关于语言或二语学习者专业能力及本科生通识能力的相关研究。在此基础上,文章根据我国《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》和新时期对外语专业本科生基本能力的要求,探讨了我国外语专业本科生应该具备的能力结构及其分类标准。最后,文章就如何在教学中培养这些能力提出了初步建议。本文权作抛砖引玉,以期能为学生能力结构和培养模式研究提供一定启发。 The change of situation both at home and abroad poses new requirements for the development of foreign language majors' multiple competence structure in contemporary China, so the present paper is intended to investigate the multiple competence structure of foreign language majors in China. It first reviews the relevant studies on the competence structures of language or second language learners and on the competence structures of undergraduates in gen- eral. Then, according to English Syllabus for English Majors and the new requirements for the basic competences of English majors, the paper proposes a multiple competence structure for foreign language majors, and examines the criteria for the classification of competences. In the end, it makes tentative suggestions for developing the multiple competence structure in foreign language teaching. The paper is expected to shed light on the studies of students' competence structures and training models in the future.
