Translational Competence: Retrospect and Outlook

翻译能力是决定翻译质量优劣的主要因素之一。人们对于翻译能力的认识随着时代的变化而变化。面临当今翻译新常态,对于翻译能力的认识,与传统翻译能力观相比,在诸多方面发生了较大的变化。翻译新常态下的翻译能力呈现出诸多特征。认识这些新的特征并调整相应的翻译教学策略,无疑对于翻译人才的培养至关重要。

Translational competence functions as a key element for the assessment of translation quality. This paper argues that the understanding of translational competence changes in line with social changes,and that the translation competence in the new normal differs greatly with the traditional translation competence. The paper believes that adequate understanding of the new features of the translational competence is critical for the translation education.
