Trapped in a Besieged City: Feminist Analysis of Eileen Zhang's Love in a Fallen City

张爱玲的《倾城之恋》在表现"苍凉的人生的情义"的同时,还展现了处于命运最卑微处的女性被幸福遗忘的荒凉境遇,表达出作家深层的女性关怀。而造成女性的悲剧命运主要有三个方面的原因:无可抗拒的现世飘零的生存境遇、与爱情无缘的婚姻境遇及"自我"缺失的精神世界。张爱玲对女性坎坷的解放之路的深深隐忧,让我们明白女性要获得真正的生存支配权,外在的政治经济的支持必不可少,同时,女性"自我"的觉醒也起着至关重要的作用。

Eileen Zhang＇ s Love in a Fallen City describes love and care felt in a bleak and desolate life. It also expresses Ei- leen Zhang＇s deep concern for those unfortunate and humble women whom life never favored. There are three reasons for their tragedies： the real world where they had limited freedom and no control of their own fates, the marriage in which there was no love, and the spiritual world where ＂self＂ was absent. Eileen Zhang felt worried about the strenuous liberation of the women, and with her work she made it understood that it is impossible for women to dominate their own lives without any political right, eco- nomic independence, and that the awakening of ＂self＂ also plays a key role.
