论日本文学理念“物哀”——以《源氏物语》和松尾芭蕉俳句为例

Idea of Empathy Towards Things in Japanese Literature:Case Study on The Tale of Genji and Works of Matsuo Basho

"物哀"是日本大家本居宣长提出来的文学理念。无论是日本文学巨著《源氏物语》,亦或是日本俳句大家松尾芭蕉的作品,尽管形式内容不同,其内核都包含了"物哀"之美。日本文学自古与中国文学一衣带水,从中国文化中能够找到与日本文学理念"物哀"相接近的词句、内涵,但中日文学理念中的"物哀"在情感基调和感情范围上具有差异性。

＂Empathy towards things＂ is a literary idea proposed by Motoori Norinaga, a famous Japanese writer. The beauty of sadness over impermanence is expressed in both Tale of Genji, a magnum opus of Japanese literature, and the works of Matsuo Basho, a master of Haiku, even though they differ in content and forms. As China and Japan are neighboring countries with simi- lar commons in literature, words and connotations bearing similar ideas of Japanese empathy towards things can he found in Chi- nese literature, but with different tones and areas of emotion.
