刘基是元末明初杰出的政治家、思想家,在其一生清廉勤勉的政治实践中形成了有代表性的廉政思想,主要表现为:在治国理政方面,提倡德刑并用,主张廉为国纲;在为官从政方面,强调以民为本,执政首要;在个人修养方面,倡导正己修身,俭以养廉。刘基廉政思想有鲜明的特色,理应在传统廉政思想文化中占据重要一席。尤其是在当前我国反腐倡廉建设的关键时期,他的廉政思想仍然有诸多可借鉴之处,对今天我们的廉政建设具有重要的现实意义。
