摘要
生源国际化只是大学国际化的外在指标,真正内涵性的国际化是国际生学习、生活和文化的"当地化"以及观念上的国际化。调查表明,国际生和本地生均曾有过孤独感;他们的交际意识都很强,并且大都能找到相互有兴趣的话题。然而,能否进行有广度和深度的跨文化交流仍值得关注,明确的交际意愿只为可能的交流提供心理准备,在有兴趣的话题下很可能进行的是表层化的交流。通过"结对子"和"下午茶"等活动,加强学生的跨文化朋友圈建设,可以减少他们的孤独感。学校应引导学生进行多元文化沟通,发展学生深度交流的能力,以帮助他们更好地适应当地的学习和生活,培养他们的视野和观念的国际化。
Admitting students from around the world is only an external criteria of the internationalization of a university. What really matters,is that international students can really integrate into local cultural and student life,develop a more open mindset,and inspire local students to learn about the outside world. In this paper,our survey reveals that both international students and local students have ever experienced"loneliness"at school;both groups exhibit strong willingness to interact with each other,and most students feel that it is easy to find common topics when starting a conversation among each other. Despite these favorable survey results,university administrators should still pay attention to whether the students can carry out extensive and meaningful cross-cultural communication,since explicit willingness to chat only paves the way for actual conversation,and discussion under common topics might be shallow. Through"student pairing programs"and"afternoon-tea gatherings",a university can help its students build more diverse friend circles and enhance the level of transnational dialogue,in order to diminish their feeling of solitude. Moreover,the university should play a more active role in guiding the students to hold insightful cross-cultural exchanges,for it is the key to cultural acclimatization and integration.
