摘要
高等教育专业选择中存在着性别差异问题。通过分析15名不同性别大学生的访谈资料,可以发现专业选择中的性别差异实际上只是理性选择行为结果的一种表现形式。专业选择的性别差异揭示的是社会结构中的性别隔离问题,而非教育领域的性别隔离问题。因而,专业选择的性别差异问题实际上有着更为宏观的社会意义。这意味着仅就教育领域的改革谈论专业选择的性别差异,实际上是舍本逐末的做法,只有整体性的社会变革才是解决性别隔离问题的出路。
This paper concerns gender differences in the choice of higher education majors, through the analysis of 15 college students. Choosing majors is a form of rational behavior under circumstance of limited information. Gender segregation problems reveal that gender differences related to this choice is a problem in social structure rather than education. Therefore, gender differences and majors’choice has a more macro social significance, indicating that overall social reform is necessary to solve the problem of gender segregation rather than educational reform.
