Death of a Traveling Salesman, first novel written by Eudora Welty, describes the living and spiritual conditions of the common people in American southern society under radical change of times. The spatial features will be analyzed from the perspective of physical space, psychological space and social space by adopting spatial narratives theory. Through the juxtaposition and comparison of the three spaces, the rootless, confused and solitary features of southern eccentrics are presented in this novel.
