The thesis gives a general description of classical music manuscripts about symbolic notation in the collections of Belarusian grand museums, libraries and private financial funds. It especially puts an emphasis on the different traditional motet books sang by both priest and non-priest believers during the 17-20th centuries. The thesis mainly discusses the urgent problems which Belarusian scholars are facing with on manuscript research. What＇s more, it also demonstrates and verifies motet manuscripts derived from Belarus by systematic analysis and research.
