命门一词首见于《黄帝内经》,后世经过不断的理论创新将其逐渐发展成为命门学说。从命门到命门学说的发展过程中,历来各家一直将争论的焦点放在命门与肾的关系上,文章通过从3个历史时期考察得出命门与相火理论的出现对肝脏象理论的形成与发展有着重大的影响。

The term ＂life gate＂ derives from Huangdi＇s Internal Classic,and later scholars added more meanings and created lifegate theory on the basis of it.In this progress,focuses have been put on the relationship between life gate and kidney.The article found out that these developments and debates have great contribution on the doctrine of organ manifestations through looking into academic thoughts of three different ages.
