This paper briefly introduces the c＇haracteristics of Linux OS and PCI-Express （PCI-E） bus and the functions of device drivers on Linux. Case in timing card based on PEX8311, this paper elaborates the development processes and skills of PCI- E drivers on Linux, and tests the feasibility of the drivers by DMA.
