摘要
对英语转类词这一语言现象,国内外学者已经在构词理据和学习策略等方面取得了突破性的进展。但是绝大部分研究聚焦于名-动转换,而对形-动转类的关注相对较少,尤其是实证方面的研究更是寥寥。为弥补该领域研究的不足,本论文以Qian(1999)的"词汇知识深度测试试卷"为主要研究工具,对比研究了Lawson&Hogben的学习策略体系,运用有声思维实验法对湖北民族学院外国语学院15名学生的英语形-动转类的学习情况展开研究。该研究旨在了解(1)英语形-动转类的学习是否有策略可循,其频度如何;(2)形-动转类的理解和应用是否受到文化等语言外因素的影响。研究的最终目标是构建一个英语形-动转类学习策略体系,以期对转类词的学习提供参考。研究结果表明,英语形-动转类学习策略和其他转类词学习策略趋于一致,但就单项学习策略下的学习方法,本研究与其他研究有不一致的地方。
As for the phenomenon of conversion, a breakthrough has been made in motivation of word-making and in the learning strategies (LS) by researchers at home and abroad. Almost all the studies focus on noun-verb conversion but relatively less attention has been paid to adjective-verb conversion (A-V conversion), especially lacking in experimental research in this field. To make up for the inadequacy of the study of A-V conversion, taking Qian's (1999) English proficiency test paper as the instrument, making a contrastive study of Lawson & Hogben' s system of LS, this research studies the learning process of 15 freshmen who are from the School of Foreign Language of Hubei University for Nationalities by a think-loud experiment. Furthermore, the study aims at these two problem s: (1) Are there any LS of A-V conversion? If so, how frequently are these LS adopted by language learners? (2) Are the comprehension and application of A-V conversion influenced by any cultural factors besides the language itself?. The ultimate goal is to establish a system of LS of A-V conversion in order to provide a reference for English majors to learn A-V conversion. The study shows that the system of LS of A-V conversion is similar to those of other kinds of conversions, but for the learning methods included in each learning strategy, the results of the present study are different from others' .
