The species of diesel oil pour point depressant（ PPD） are introduced,the lowering mechanism is explored through instrumental analysis and molecular modeling techniques,and the factors which influence the depression process are also summarized. Moreover,the prospects of the technique for diesel oil PPD are predicted to provide some theoretical supports for the future preference and the preparation of diesel oil PPD. It will play an important role to promote the development of diesel oil PPD.
