翻译最为重要的特征是意义阐释。阐释活动具有客观性、历史性,同时意义有意义的不同类型以及不同类型的意义。在兼顾所有这一切的同时,阐释活动以探索意义为最终目标,探求词语、语言表现的真实意义。整个阐释活动就是求"真"的过程。"真"就是真值,就是未曾言说隐约其词等待挖掘的意义。

The most significant feature of interpreting is the interpretation of sense. Interpretive activity is characterized with objectivity,historicity,and meanwhile sense includes various types of sense as well as sense of various types. With all these features taken into account,the interpretive activity sets the exploration of sense as its ultimate goal to explore lexical and verbal true sense. The whole interpretive activity is the process of getting to the ＂true sense＂. The so-called ＂true sense＂actually is true value,which is something unsaid and implicit to be explored.
