高职教育的主旨是为社会培养更多的专业性技术人才,与社会岗位需求和国家发展战略遥相呼应。高职英语教学作为整个高职教学的重要内容,不仅关系到学生以后的职业能力和就业前景,还和未来国家综合国力的竞争有着密切的关系。因此,重视高职英语教学中职业能力的培养,是教育体制改革的难点和重点。结合高职英语教学中职业能力培养的现状,提出了如何培养学生职业能力的有效途径,以供广大教育工作者借鉴和交流。

The substance of higher vocational education is to cultivate more professional technical personnel to meet social position requirements and national development strategy. As the significant content of entire higher vocational education, higher vocational English teaching not only relates to students＇ vocational ability and career prospects, but also the competition of comprehensive national power in the future. Therefore, the cultivation of vocational ability in higher vocational English teaching is the difficulty and key point in reforming educational system. Combining the current situation of vocational ability cultivation in higher vocational English teaching, it proposed the effective approaches of how to cultivate students＇ vocational ability so as to provide educators with reference and communication.
