泰州市医药制造业发展迅速,在江苏省占有重要的位置,但与国际一流药企相比,无论是经济实力、产业级别,还是创新能力,差距都比较大。为推进泰州市医药产业的进一步发展,地方政府应加强引导,加快速度培育大型药企,增强泰州医药产业在国内外的影响力;优化政策环境,为药企成长提供优质服务;关注周边开发区的产业特点及发展趋势,发挥竞争优势,防止区域间恶性竞争,最终实现整个区域经济的共同发展。

The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Taizhou City has developed rapidly in recent years and takes the leading rank in Jiangsu Province, but, compared with the international first-class pharmaceutical companies, it lags behind them in terms of financial power, industrial ranking and innovative ability. To further the industry＇s development, the local government should guide enterprises to grow into large-scale pharmaceu- tical ones and to improve their influence at home and abroad; the government should also optimize the policy environment to provide quality services for the growth of pharmaceutical companies; the government should pay attention to the characteristics and development trend of industries in the neighboring regions to avoid vicious regional competitions, thus achieving common development of pharmaceutical enterprises and the regional e- conomy.
