Compiling of English Textbooks for Higher Vocational College Non-English Majors Guided by the Idea of “Basic English plus Professional Knowledge”

英语教材在高职英语教学过程中发挥着重要的作用。文章通过回顾高职公共英语教材的现状,提出从教学模式、教材编写原则、教材开发思路、"双师"素质四个方面考虑,进行"基础+行业"的高职公共英语教材体系的构建。

English textbooks play an important role in the teaching and learning of English in higher vocational colleges. Therefore, this paper first reviews the current problems in the English textbooks for higher vocational college non-English majors, and, taking into consideration the four aspects： teaching modes, principles of text- book compiling, strategies of textbook compiling and teachers with double certificates （for teaching and one of other professions）, tries to explore the idea of ＂basic English plus professional knowledge＂ to be adopted to compile series of the English textbooks.
