摘要
以EGP(基础英语)和ESP(专门用途英语)教学理论为指导,分析论述海事专业大学英语教学特点。并以笔者所在高校的大学英语教师、海事专业教师和海事专业学生为调查对象,采用问卷和访谈相结合的方式深入了解海事专业大学英语EGP和ESP教学现状。根据STCW78/10公约对海事专业人才培养的强制语言适任要求,从课程安排、教学内容、教材选择、师资队伍等方面探索海事专业大学英语EGP和ESP教学有效衔接的多元途径。
Under the guidance of EGP and ESP teaching theories, this paper first investigated the characteristics of marine engineering and navigation majors' English teaching and Learning; Secondly, having the English teachers, marine engineering and navigation teachers as well as students surveyed, the author studied their English teaching and learning status quo through the analysis of questionnaire and interview. To satisfy the marine English competence required by STCW78/10 Convention, the paper explores the diverse ways of integrating EGP and ESP from aspects of course arrangement, teaching contents, textbooks and teaching staff.
