从及物性系统看《水仙》的译文技巧

Analysis of The Daffodils and Its Chinese Versions from the Perspective of Transitivity

论文选取华兹华斯的《水仙》为研究对象并以飞白和顾子欣二人的译文作为语料,对原诗以及二者的译文的及物性特征做出比较分析,认为物质过程在原诗以及二者的译文中均占较大比重,译文对原诗的及物性特征改变主要体现在"过程类型变动"、"参与者或环境成分被赋予过程类型"和"环境成分的位置变动"三个方面,但也有与原诗保持完全一致的情况。飞白的译文与原文的及物性特征较为贴近,而顾子欣的译文的变动较大。

On the basis of Hallidayan systemic functional linguistics,choosing Wordsworth’s The Daffodils and the Chinese translations of Fei Bai and Gu Zixin as linguistic data,this paper analyzes the original poem and gives a comparative analysis of the two Chinese versions in terms of the feature of transitivity.The results show that mental process occupies a large proportion in both the original poem and the translations of the two.The change of the feature of transtivity in both the two Chinese versions are reflected in three respects,including the change of the type of process,the addition of process to participant and circumstance,and the change of the position of circumstance element.But there are also the cases that the two Chinese versions are completely in accordance with the original poem in terms of the feature of transitivity.The results also show that,in terms of the feature of transitivity,the translation of Fei Bai is closer to the original poem than that of Gu Zixin.The study could provide some enlightment for the appreciation of Chinese translation to English poem.
