语域理论视角下《为奴隶的母亲》英译本人物形象的再现

The Representation of the Image of Character in the English Translation Version of "The Slave Mother" from the Perspective of Register Theory

本文从语域对等的理论角度出发,对比《为奴隶的母亲》张培基英译本中原文与译文丈夫与其他人物之间的对话翻译,结果发现,对话译文基本上再现了丈夫真实的人物形象,但在部分对话翻译中丈夫的人物形象并未得到充分的再现,这给我们以后的翻译实践也有所启示。

This essay makes a comparison about the dialogue translations in the novel of ＂ The Slave Mother＂ between the husband and other characters in the original text and translation text,which indicates that the true image of husband reflected in the translation is reproduced as a whole. However in part of dialogue translations,the translators fails to reproduce the true image of husband. It also gives us much suggestion during the translation exercises in the future.
