“Place Making”in the Design of Urban Complex With High Plot Ratio:The Design of Block 9 of Dongdajie, Chengdu

In this paper, we introduce the basic situation and the challenges of block 9 of Dongdajie Chengdu. We simply expound the idea of ＂place making＂, then introduce the blue print of block 9 from three aspects： planning, space environment and architecture style. Last, we conclude the main ways of the scheme to practice the idea of ＂place making＂.
