The career life of middle-aged female editors of university sci-tech journals is facing challenges with the fast development of information technology and system reform of editorial departments： the accumulation of knowledge not satisfying the requirements of work, the work anxiety, the contradiction between sticking to publishing regulations and the seeking innovations and the pressure of pursuing stable career life and facing system reforming.
