摘要
开放英语教育过程中,学员以及课程的特点决定了教学过程中产生的后续问题,学员学习动机缺乏就是其中最为显著的问题之一。为此,本课题基于原有研究的基础上,通过对学习需求的分析,运用访谈及问卷等研究方法,结合ARCS模式理论中的注意、切身性、自信和满意四个层面的动机激励策略,进一步探讨了该理论对开放英语教学的应用,以期提高学员的英语学习动机。研究发现,该理论确实有助于提高动机水平,尤其是切身性和满意感两方面效果较为显著。
The characteristics of students and courses in open English education lead to subsequent problems in teaching,among which the lack of learning motivation is one of the most obvious problems. Therefore,based on former study,through analyzing learning needs and using the interview and questionnaire methods,the application of ARCS theory in the open English teaching has been further discussed with its four factors' strategies( attention,relevance,confidence and satisfaction) of stimulating motivation in order to improve students' English learning motivation. This research reveals that ARCS theory is indeed helpful to the improvement of motivation level,especially for the two aspects of the relevance and satisfaction.
